in the third house scatters the mind but compensates with intuition. An
interest in extrasensory perception may be accompanied by genuine
clairvoyance, but the unwary can delude themselves into fancying their
hallucinations to be revelations from on high.
The
ability to tap hidden channels of the psyche may lead to inspired thinking or
it may cause a diffusiveness baffling to people in the immediate environment.
A person with this placement often changes their name or adopts a pseudonym.
Frequently, they feel themselves to be a medium for ideas which reach them
from an unseen source.
Parents
of children with this placing should be on their guard if they want to have
any more children; the influence of Neptune may confuse the elder sibling’s
attitude towards the younger. For example, there may be an above-average show
of jealousy, simply because the child finds the situation bewildering. Other
areas of the child’s chart will show the way through this possible
difficulty - and we wish to stress that it is only a possibility.
Early
education is often unsettled, and there may have been tendencies to spend time
in daydreaming at school, so that concentration on the matter in hand was very
poor. As a result the subject may have gained rather unsatisfactory grades.
This
is a house related to the mind, nonetheless, so there is a good chance that
the imagination will be heightened by this placing, especially if the chart as
a whole shows imaginative flair. Some astrologers believe that this placing
enhances the voice; the subject certainly may have the potential for singing,
and there is often a subtle delicacy in the tone of the voice, and also good
