This is the Mercury/Gemini house, so the planet's influence will be strong. Great curiosity, a need to communicate and mobility are all important to this individual.

Mental agility and the powers of perception are usually good, and they are mentally and intellectually alert. The subject is likely to spend a lot of time on the telephone, writing letters, (e-mails) and expressing their thoughts.

There is a strong need to know of events in the family and immediate environment, and keeping up with news stories is almost obligatory; newspapers and magazines will be read voraciously.

Although there is a quest for knowledge it can be on a very superficial level, so one is encouraged to deepen and broaden the intellect, with the development of a more consistent mental effort, and more serious in-depth achievements.

Mercury in its natural house stimulates the mind and body alike. It denotes a person who is clever and witty, especially in the use of words, but who may not bother to think deeply about the meaning of their apt phrases.

Their alertness, adaptability, and versatility enable them to express ideas fluently, and they will probably have practical abilities along a variety of lines. They may be a jack-of-all-trades, but whether they will master any one of them depends upon other factors in the chart, since Mercury is less master than servant of the gods.
