Fame. Profession or career. The father. Affairs of state. Large-scale
organizations.
The
individual born with Uranus in the tenth house is apt to enter an unusual
profession or to approach their career in an offbeat way. They must be their
own boss if they are to avoid clashes of temperament with people in command.
They
have flashes of insight about the way a job should be performed and are,
therefore, better off working independently.
Often
their destiny is shaped by sudden dramatic events which require lightning
quick decisions and the willingness to take authoritative action.
The
fields of electronics, and broadcasting are especially congenial to people
with this original and inventive temperament. As well, the individual may be
attracted to the space industry, science, astronomy, or perhaps the
humanitarian and caring professions.
Alternatively,
they may be drawn to work that has an exciting or glamorous aspect.
Sudden
changes of career direction are possible. However, should the subject be
confronted by the prospect of such a change (because of having been fired, for
instance), there will be a tendency to overreact and to throw away a great
deal of hard-earned experience in order to start afresh on the new
professional path.
Reactions
of this sort can be the result of the more perverse side of Uranus exerting
itself, and the individual is encouraged to think again and in a more
practical manner.
An
involvement in politics or the trade unions sometimes occurs for the
individual with this placing. In this or other contexts, a liking for power is
also very common.
